2nd Day of School

Today was good because I got to know my class mates more and how my time at BG Dornbirn will play out. It was pouring rain when we left this morning, so I brought my camera in from taking a timelapse then we set out to the bus stop at 6:55. Waking up at 6 in the morning is a rough change from 101 days of waking up at 9:30. Sorry that was me bragging a little. Anyway, Beni, Clara and I took the school bus (a way nicer bus than the school buses in the U.S., it is nicer then the buses Hawk athletes take to sport events) to the Dornbirn Bahnhof. Clara transferred there, but Beni and I walked to school. I said goodbye to Beni then went to my class in the Stadtmarkt. I had math this morning with Mr. Diem. Learning math is a little difficult, because the words are similar, but not exactly the same so I have to pay really close attention. Mr. Diem is super nice though, and promised to write things on the board as clearly as he could this whole year. Next, I went to the main school for Ethics class (instead of religion). I didn't really do much, just introduced myself and we all told about what we did in the summer, etc. Oh, a cool thing I learned yesterday is that if I don't end up going on Euro Tour in May, I will have another chance to travel because my class goes to Berlin for a week starting May 20th. After Ethics I went to Art with Mr. Luger. He is awesome, I have him for art, media and he is the leader of the Film club (which I am joining). Afterwards I had a question about my schedule, so I went to the main office and got it all squared away. It turns out I only have four classes on Wednesdays now! But tomorrow, and every other Thursday, I go to school at the regular time and don't leave school until 5:15 PM. That is a little long if you ask me. This afternoon Beni and I went to SPAR in Schwarzach to get a few more school supplies, then stayed home, as it rained the whole day. Also, today on the way back from school I saw Jakob's class with their Smurf hats on going to Bregenz to sing on a ship. Interesting reason. Another thing I noticed. A little body odor is normal here. Kids don't usually use deodorant unless they are going on a date or somewhere formal, maybe to a disko. But it is acceptable to have a little stench about you. Today was easy going, but tomorrow is going to wear me out! Then I go to Tauplitz early Friday morning, so wish me luck!

Hi--What is Tauplitz? Glad to hear your classes look good. The teachers sound great! I'll bet the rain was beautiful. I am hoping for some around here. Too much smoke. Love ya Berry, Mom
