I started out today by eating breakfast with Jakob and talking to the maid a little bit (she comes every monday and friday morning). Then Beni woke up and we just hung around, played on my iPod a little. Agnes came home around 11 and she cooked an Austrian soup with bread-strings I guess you would call them. After lunch Jakob, Beni, Agnes and I went into the Dornbirn Stadtmarkt to go shopping. I got some more clothes to fit in a little better and we stopped at a little cafe to get milkshakes. They weren't American milkshakes in that they had no ice cream, just milk. Hence milk shake. Everything here is a little more practical. Instead of overly sweet soda and food, they tone it down a little. Soda here is about half as sweet and most of time the sweet drinks (like juice) are watered down with mineral water, its called gespritzt. After we finished shopping we returned home. Beni and Jakob went to their soccer practices, at different times, then Ernst came home around 6:30. He took me back into Dornbirn to finally meet my host club. It was an all male club (it is traditionally so, but there is a multi-sex club also in Dornbirn) and only about 35 of the whole 80 members attended. I met the president, as well as many others, and gave them a Montana and Sunrise Rotary Club banner. Then, we heard a presentation from the chief of the main tv company about media and radio. I had another kind of schnitzel for dinner and Ernst had liver, then we returned home. I set up another timelapse that should last from tonight until at least tomorrow night, and I am pretty excited about the results. I have already done about 6 timelapses here and I am pretty excited about my results. So all is good, it wasn't my most eventful day but it was still (like always) a good time.
